Highway 1 Roadtrip From SF
If you decide to make the full ride up the coast, you will have the chance to enjoy lunch at Tony’s Seafood, Hog Island Oysters, Cafe Aquatica, or the Marshall Store on the coast of beautiful Sonoma County. If you want to stretch your legs, take a hike in Point Reyes where you could see California Quail, Whales, and Elk. Catch more vistas and wildlife with a visit to Salt Point State Park. You can take a dip in the Pacific at Muir Beach, Goat Rock Beach, or Bowling Ball Beach. Take pictures at Duncan’s Landing Overlook or Sonoma Coast Overlook, climb the lighthouse in Point Arena, ogle the architecture at Sea Ranch, or have a Michelin Star meal at the Harbor House Inn.
Wine Country Drive From SF
If you take the quicker inland route, you will drive through California’s stunning wine country and coastal roads. You can enjoy a coffee pick me up and empanada at the General Store in Boonville. Safely taste wine at Pennyroyal, Husch, Navarro, or DuckHorn, sip beer at Anderson Valley Brewing, or try cider at Gowan’s. Indulge in Healdsburg’s award winning dining at famous spots like Valette, Farmhouse Inn, or Single Thread, and take in the awe of the Redwoods at Navarro River Redwoods State Park.
